Pro Tect, America's Surface Protection Center®, is proud to announce the introduction of Pro Tect Water Resistant Hardboard. A strong, easy to install product, Pro Tect Hardboard has always been one of the company's top sellers. Adding water resistance is a natural progression of this multi-use floor protection during construction.
"It's repels standing water up to 72 hours," says Daniel Bowers, Pro Tect's VP of Marketing. "It's always been one of our strongest construction floor protection products, safe for scissor lifts and fork lifts, and now we've added protection against spills, which we think will make this a surface protection standard for years to come."
Pro Tect Water Resistant Hardboard is a 44 mil, eco-friendly floor protection that can be used on any hard surface. This new temporary floor protection can be used to protect wood, tile, marble, concrete, and any hard surface area.
"It's really versatile," say Bowers, "And another big benefit over traditional hardboard like Masonite is that it's a lot easier to install."
Easy installation is what sets this hardboard floor protection apart from its competitors, and why it is quickly becoming a replacement for Masonite. It allows contractors to make longer runs, which cuts the installation time in half.
"When you can tell a builder that install is cut in half and the protection is more comprehensive, you have a product that's going to be of interest to them." Bowers adds.
Instead of having to tape 4' x 6' sheets of Masonite together simply roll out Hardboard-WR and make up to a 100 foot run. If you have to cover a large area, use Pro Tect Hardboard-WR Seam Tape to seam the hardboard-WR together.
Pro Tect Water Resistant Hardbarod comes in rolls 36" x 100', and is 100% Recyclable and Reusable.
Says Bowers, "I think a lot of contractors tend to think of surface protection as a temporary and 'one and done' material, but our new hardboard can be used for multiple installations, plus the fact that it's recyclable means it's a greener alternative."
Finally Bowers emphasizes that this new hardboard can withstand even the most rugged of construction sites. From heavy machinery to heavy spills Pro Tect Hardboard is built to protect finished floors from the day to day rigors of your next job site.
