There are two types of Jamb Protectors: The FPB Jamb Protector and the PVC Jamb Protector.  They both work the same, both are great products for protecting your jambs.  Here is what we would tell you if you ask us which one to use:

The FPB Jamb Protector (hard  cardboard) is for a job where you don't want to reuse the Jamb Protector.  Now you will get 2 or 3 uses out of the FPB Jamb so it can be reused, but we are explaining the difference.

The PVC Jamb Protector (JP)is made of a hard plastic and can be reused over and over and over.  What we hear out in the field is, "I'm sick of lugging these things from site to site".  So the PVC Jamb Protector is the perfect product if you see yourself protection lots of door jambs on multiple sites.
